  • WHAT IS LEGENDS?

LEGENDS is a draft style tournament where players register individually and are drafted on a team to play for the weekend.  Adult players are drafted by captains who have been selected by LEGENDS to field a 'partial' team, watch the evaluation skates, in preparation for drafting the remaining players on their team.  The eval skates are always on the first day of the event and the draft takes place immediately after.  Included in the registration fee, every player receives a jersey and pants from Envious Gamewear that must be worn thru the entirety of the competition.  EVERY PLAYER who enters will be drafted.  We field three tiers in the Adult division, and 35+ in some regions,  and 10U thru 18U for our youth (PROSPECTS) divisions.  Our MAIN EVENT, over Memorial Day Weekend, also has a D1 division.  It is an ever-growing event as one of the newest niche tournaments in the circuit.  

  • is legends invite only?

Our May event is no longer invite ONLY!  Due to the demand for the event and the amount of players registered, we will still "invite" players but all players interested are welcome to register TODAY.  Our goal is to have two tiers for our 14U and 16U divisions (during our MAIN EVENT) so all players can play where they are most comfortable.  

  • What jerseys do i get when i register for the event?

For our May event, all youth divisions will receive PROSPECTS jerseys.  This gives all players in those divisions the opportunity to select their own specific jersey number and size.  It also allows players to play in a second division without having to purchase a second set of jerseys and pants.  Those jerseys will be released soon.  All players playing in the adult division (and all other divisions in any event besides out main event) will receive the "character" or themed jerseys based on the theme for that specific event.  Since players will not know what team they will end up on, numbers are randomized.  

  • When is the evaluation skate

The eval skates happen on the FIRST DAY of the event.  

  • How do i become a captain/coach?

Click here if you are interested in a captaincy in the ADULT division or would like to coach one of our PROSPECTS teams.  Captains from previous LEGENDS events will get the right of first refusal for a captaincy.  If we have spots remaining we will then reach out to those interested.

  • Can i play in a third division at legends?

The easy answer is 'no'.  But...there are some players who receive special clearance to play in two youth divisions and one adult division.  This request has to be sent to us before registering.

  • HOW DO GOALIES ENTER THE EVENT?

PROSPECT (YOUTH) GOALIES CAN SIGN UP AT ANY TIME!!   REGISTRATION FOR GOALIES IS OPEN AND GOALIES DO NOT NEED TO BE INVITED TO SIGN UP.  ADULT Goalies can ONLY be a captain or co-captain and CANNOT enter the draft.
